The first day of 4-H Day Camp was super fun!! I was so excited to see the kids and practice my Spanish. When the kids got off the bus they had the biggest similes on their faces and it made me feel so happy and grateful for this opportunity.
Fast forward to some fun activities. We made fans
to cool ourselves down and played with stomp rockets made from soda bottles. Then it started to rain a
bit. That was very refreshing and we started to walk back and play Uno. I learned
that the Dominican teens get very serious about how the game is played just like
us Americans…overall it was very fun. We even got to try some fresh coconut water from a coconut and try honey and peanut butter snack made by our counselors. With all that being said, today was very fun and I'm looking
forward to tomorrow.
