Wednesday, Teambuilding Day with the Dominican Teens

Today's our 2nd day in the DR. It was great meeting the Dominican teens and getting to interact with them! Although it was super hot and humid during most of our time preparing for the day campers, our trip to the indigenous eyes (natural pool) completely washed all the sweat and exhaustion away. It was so beautiful! I saw quite a few fish and shrimp underwater.

Once we got back to the hotel, a lot of us went to the beach again, and there I found a really nice conch shell! It was pretty big. For dinner, I had the best beef fajita ever, and we got to see a stray kitty! It was so small and adorable. Kept asking for food, but we couldn't give much because it might come back to other hotel guests and beg.

Today I got to know the people in the Dominican, and how kind and friendly they are. I really enjoyed getting to talk to them and learning about their life here. It was incredible to see “the eyes” and get to swim and explore with the American and Dominican teens. I had an amazing day and can’t wait to learn more throughout this week!

Today we met some of the Dominican Teens that will be helping us with the Day Campers.  I loved meeting and learning about them!  We went and swam in the Indigenous Eyes, which were absolutely gorgeous!  I had so much fun meeting new friends and I am excited to meet all of the campers tomorrow!

Our first day in Punta Cana today was a very exciting day. Went to the Grupo PuntaCana Ecological Foundation and  met with Dominican teens.  We prepared our school supplies and our day camp supplies and played many fun games. I enjoyed swimming and getting connected with the Dominican teens and interacting with them and asking different questions and seeing how they live and acted,  I certainly enjoyed how we all got along together so well and we all got the job done at the end of the day and helped each other when needed. I also enjoyed swimming at the beach today.  I saw some fish and I even got a new shell.  Fast forward to dinner was absolutely amazing and now I’m tired and ready for the next day.
